Once our physicians have marked the targeted areas, they will then operate the applicator in a circular movement, transmitting a low-level frequency to the desired areas. Patients may experience a slight buzzing sound due to the sound waves; this is in no way irritable. The treatment will last approximately 20-30 minutes, although the length of time is dependent upon the individual’s fat tissue density.
It is important not to tan during your treatment as this could cause your skin to become overly sensitive to the sound waves. We recommend not tanning 3 days before your treatment to maximise results and minimise any risks.
Other than a little redness around the localised area, this procedure is completely harmless and patients can expect a pleasant session each time.
The complete cavitation experience will last no more than 20-30 minutes from the time the treatment begins. Depending on your goals each session may take slightly longer.

Most people are familiar with contouring in terms of how you can use make-up to give definition to your face. Not as many people realise you can also add definition to your body through very different processes that have a much more permanent effect.
Body contouring at Skinique Aesthetics consists of various different processes to offer fat loss and inch loss for stubborn areas that a healthy diet and regular exercise can’t tackle on your own. Through a combination of cavitation, radio frequency, led therapy, and suction, we can help you achieve your desired look.
What Does It Do?
Results can vary from client to client, but a course of five to six treatments is recommended in order to really see a difference, with between four to eight sessions being the most common amount. You can opt for a minimum of sessions once a week, up to three times a week. You can expect to see some change in your appearance at around 72 hours after the treatment, with noticeable inch loss coming into effect instantly. It is sometimes possible to see results from the first treatment, but it is also likely that things will begin to take shape further down the course of treatment. The use of radio frequency treatment aims to lift, firm and tighten skin. The use of red light therapy assists with these processes, as well as increasing circulation, forming new capillaries, cellular clean-up, increased phagocytosis and more.
How Does It Work?
Cavitation uses low-frequency sound waves to target fat cells, to transform them into protein, then free fatty acids and glycerol. The former moves to the liver where they simply decay; the latter is used as energy. The treatment is non-invasive as a method of fat removal. Our radio frequency treatment helps the skin’s natural ability to produce collagen by targeting elastin fibres. This process also works to break down cellulite-causing fat cells, which are flushed out of the body through lymphatic drainage, with a suction technique that helps to drain, and LED light that helps to condition the skin. As well as the red-light therapy, this is all included in one treatment package. Due to the nature of this process, we also recommend exercise post-treatment, where you should make sure to drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.
